  • Round 3: 4 groups of 4 → 8 advance.
  • Quarterfinals: 2 groups of 4 → 4 advance.
  • Semifinals and Finals: Conducted as 4-player matches, with the final determining 1st through 4th place.

  • Mode: Versus Mode (4-player) at 150cc speed.
  • Items: Normal items enabled – embrace the chaos!
  • Teams: Off.
  • Races per Match: 3-4 races, using tracks from a predefined cup or random selection (no repeats in a match).
  • Cup Progression :
  • Round 1: Mushroom Cup (3 tracks).
  • Round 2: Flower Cup.
  • Round 3: Star Cup.
  • Finals: Special Cup.

  • Characters: All available (Mario, Luigi, etc.). Selection order determined by random draw (1-4); #1 picks first, #4 last. No changes mid-match.
  • Duplicates: Allowed, but if disputed, coin flip decides priority.
  • Controllers: Standard N64 Tournament provides.

If tied for advancement or placement: Single 150cc Versus race on Luigi Raceway

Prohibited Actions (Glitches and Cheats)

  • No Glitches: Banned techniques include lap-skipping (e.g., Wario Stadium wall jump, Rainbow Road jump, Frappe Snowland spin). Fair shortcuts like Koopa Troopa Beach jump are okay.
  • Penalties: Using a glitch forfeits the race; repeated offenses disqualify the player.
  • Pausing: Not allowed mid-race unless technical issue (verified by organizer).
  • Verification: Any disputes go to the tournament organizer (TO) – their call is final.

Conduct and Sportsmanship

  • Behaviour: Positive vibes only – trash talk is fun, but no harassment, toxicity, or unsportsmanlike conduct. Violations lead to warnings, then disqualification.
  • Technical Issues: If disconnect or crash (online/offline), restart race if early; otherwise, points stand at incident.
  • Spectating: Allowed, but no coaching mid-match.
  • Disqualifications: For cheating, no-shows, or rule breaks – refunds available up to 3 days till event.
